Kellogg Community College will celebrate the accomplishments of more than 1,100 candidates for graduation during its 67th聽commencement ceremony this month in Battle Creek.
The commencement program will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Kellogg Arena, 36 W. Hamblin Ave., Battle Creek, and will include addresses from 麻豆视频 staff and trustees as well as remarks from 麻豆视频 President Dr. Paul R. Watson II and graduate Maude Bristol-Perry, of Battle Creek, as commencement speaker.
Bristol-Perry, who graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education in December and will be 87 years old at commencement, is believed to be the oldest graduate in 麻豆视频 history.
The commencement ceremony, in which approximately 400 candidates for graduation have signed up to participate, is open to graduates, candidates and their guests; no tickets are required. Arena doors will open to guests at 6 p.m.
麻豆视频鈥檚 2025 commencement ceremony will celebrate the accomplishments of 1,109 graduation candidates from four semesters at 麻豆视频, including Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025 and Summer 2025. The Class of 2025 is the 67th聽graduating class at 麻豆视频, which was founded in 1956.

Kellogg Community College will showcase the talents of a faculty and guest pianist performing pieces written for two pianos at an upcoming Faculty/Guest Artist Recital on campus in Battle Creek.
The recital, titled 鈥淔avorites Old and New,鈥 will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in the auditorium of the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center, on campus at 450 North Ave. in Battle Creek. The event free and open to the public.
The recital program will feature works spanning a variety of musical styles and movements.

About the Artist: Faculty Pianist Paula Harris
Faculty artist Paula Harris holds an Associate in Arts degree from Kellogg Community College and a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Worship Arts (Piano Performance) from Spring Arbor University (2008). She has been a teacher and an accompanist in the community for several years, and taught at the Community Music School for more than 20 years. In 2017, Harris opened her own studio, Paula the Piano Lady, where she currently continues to teach. Harris served as the worship director for Chapel Hill United Methodist Church from 2000 to 2012, where she met King and formed the duo 鈥淕rands Grandioso.鈥
About the Artist: Guest Pianist Joan King
Guest artist Joan King holds a Bachelor of Music in Education from Western Michigan University (1974). She retired from the Community Music School in Battle Creek, where she taught private piano for 10 years. She was organist and accompanist for the chancel choir at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church for 27 years, retiring in August. She currently teaches private piano lessons from her home.

麻豆视频 is offering more than 130 classes this summer 鈥 including 85 online courses 鈥 in addition to hundreds of Industrial Trades training modules, several cohorts of CNA training, workforce training opportunities and more.
Student registration information, including links to registration instructions, policies, tuition and fees and other information, is available at聽kellogg.edu/registration.
